BACOLOD City – The city government distributed P132,000 worth of financial assistance to fire victims in Purok San Jose, Barangay Alijis.
Seventeen families were affected, 11 of whom had houses that were totally gutted by fire; two partially damaged; while four families were sharers, record of the Department of Social Services and Development showed.
The families whose houses were fully burned received P10,000 each, while those with partially damaged homes received P5,000 each.
The sharers received P3,000 each.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire broke out around 11:47 a.m. on Aug. 15.
