BACOLOD City – A fish vendor was found dead in Barangay Biao, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
The 40-year-old Rico Solomon of Barangay Libacao, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental sustained head injuries and stabbed wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Village watchman Warren Tadlas found Solomon lifeless around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, the report added.
A piece of wood with bloodstains and a pair of slippers were recovered from the crime scene.
The victim’s body was brought to a local mortuary for a “post mortem” examination.
Officers of the Binalbagan municipal police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the incident./PN
