BACOLOD City – A fisherman was found dead in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified him as 60-year-old resident Joel Caro.
Already in the state of decomposition, Caro’s body was discovered at Cabug Baybay in the said village around 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 11, police said.
Caro was positively identified by his sister Jasmin Go.
She said the victim was last seen on Sept. 8 under the influence of liquor.
Caro’s body was brought to a local mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Officers of the Silay City police station have yet to rule out foul in the victim’s death./PN
