ILOILO – A fisherman and a minor died in separate drowning incidents on June 24.
Thirty-nine-year-old Efren Mahinay of Barangay Nipa, Ajuy was fished out of the waters off Barangay Bay-ang around 8 a.m.
Mahinay went fishing about three kilometers away from the shoreline, police said.
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Andrea Nicole of Barangay Cayos, Dumangas drowned in Sitio Punta Pulao, Barangay Bantud Fabrica around 11 a.m.
She went out swimming with her family but disappeared.
Her body was found after four hours of search./PN
