BACOLOD City – A dismissed policeman escaped a raid conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Friday morning in San Carlos City.

The CIDG operatives were armed with a search warrant to be served to Reymus Sanchez Bayawa, a resident of Barangay 5 in the city.

Bayawa was allegedly involved in illegal drugs and firearms, prompting the CIDG to apply for a warrant.

Recovered from his house were one .38-caliber revolver, two live bullets of .45-caliber pistol, three sachets and two empty packs of suspected shabu, and other drug paraphernalia.

The confiscated items were brought to San Carlos City police station./PN
