Four hurt in motorcycle collision in Lemery

ILOILO – Four persons, including a one-year-old child, were injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Barangay Poblacion South East, Lemery town.

Lemery police said the 39-year-old driver alias “Jim”, his live-in partner and their child were thrown off their vehicle after they were hit by another motorcycle driven by alias “Jonie”, 18, around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 3.

All four were rushed to Sara District Hospital in Sara town. Jim, who was gravely injured on his feet, was scheduled to undergo operation.

According to Police Master Sergeant Dandy Gallego, chief investigator of the Lemery Municipal Police Station, Jim’s motorcycle was about to enter the terminal for public utility vans when Jonie’s motorcycle crash into them.

Gallego added that prior to the incident, Jonie’s motorcycle was running in high speed and overtook a passenger jeepney./PN
