BACOLOD City — The Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) and Panasiatic Call Centers will again embark on a call center training program, this time for the benefit of Bacolodnons.
The call center training will be for free and exclusive for residents of this capital city, said Ma. Cristina Orbecido, NOLITC vocational school administrator.
“Panasiatic will subsidize the training,” said the company’s general manager, Siony Hijara.
Hijara said this is part of Panasiatic’s new program dubbed “Barangay Achieve.”
Interested applicants can go to their respective barangay halls for inquiries.
Hijara said they should secure a barangay clearance and an endorsement from the barangay.
NOLITC and Panasiatic have previously partnered in providing job opportunities only to residents of municipalities and component cities in Negros Occidental.
Training programs under NOLITC are originally intended for residents of the province.
Now the Center and Panasiatic want to reach out to Bacolod, which is politically and, at some point, economically independent from the province.
JOB FAIRS
NOLITC and Panasiatic will also stage job fairs in the 5th District this month.
The job fairs will be held on May 19 in Himamaylan City; May 21, Moises Padilla town; May 23, Binalbagan; May 26, Isabela; May 28, Hinigaran; and May 30, La Castellana.
Interested applicants should bring a résumé and a 2×2 photo. Interviews will be conducted anytime from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The job fairs are supported by 5th District Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Alain Gatuslao.
Those who could not make it in the testing and interviews can go to NOLITC and avail themselves of its call center training, Hijara said.
Panasiatic will hire 4,000 agents in time for the opening of its expanded building along Circumferential Road in Brgy. Villamonte here./PN
