ROXAS City – A 38- year old vendor was arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Poblacion Tabuc, Maayon on Oct. 30, police said.
The suspect was identified as Rogen Catalan a resident of Barangay Palaguian of the said municipality and a newly identified street-level drug pusher, according to Maayon police chief Senior Inspector Valen Rommel delos Santos.
“Gin paidalum naton siya sa surveillance for three months asta nadakpan siya sa drug bust,” delos Santos said.
Catalan, a fried chicken vendor, admitted to selling shabu not only in the town of Maayon but also in neighboring municipalities Cuartero, Pontevedra, and Panitan.
Recovered from the suspect were nine sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money.
He was detained at the Maayon police station lock-up facility, facing charges for violation Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
