Fuel Masters’ Wright, Perkins in Top 3 of PBA PH Cup stats race

MANILA – Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters’ Matthew Wright and Jason Perkins were in the top three of the statistical points after the elimination round of the 2020 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup.

The Filipino-Canadian Wright tallied 39.5 statistical points (SPs) following his averages of 22.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 steals for the semifinals-bound Fuel Masters.

Perkins, on the other hand, was at distant third place with 35.5 SPs with 19.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.01 steals, and 0.2 blocks averages in 11 elimination round games.

TerraFirma Dyip’s Jaymar Perez came in second with 35.7 SPs, followed by TNT Tropang Giga’s Bobby Ray Parks Jr. with 35.2 SPs and Christian Standhardinger of NorthPort Batang Pier in fifth with 34.6 SPs.

Tropang Giga’s Roger Pogoy and Jayson Castro occupied the sixth and seventh place respectively with 34.3 and 33.6 SPs while Stanley Pringle of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings is at eighth with 33.3.

Earl Scottie Thompson of the Kings placed ninth with 33.2 and Moala Tautuaa of the defending champions San Miguel took the 10th spot with 33 SPs.

Meanwhile, Dyip’s rookie Roosevelt Adams leads the league newcomers with 20.9 SPs with his nine game averages of 10.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks.

At second was Meralco Bolts’ Aaron Black with 18.7 SPs, Magnolia Hotshots Aris Dionisio (17.9 SPs), Alaska Aces’ Kevin Barkley Ebona (17.1 SPs), and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings’ Arvin Tolentino (14.6 SPs).

The PBA has yet to announce if it will hand out individual awards such as the Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year and the Best Player of the Conference at the end of the All-Filipino Conference./PN
