AFTER a round of mixed movements, pump prices of petroleum products are expected to roll back in the coming week.

Citing oil trading in the past four days (March 13 to 16), an oil industry source said the price per liter of diesel may go down by P1.70 to P1.90.

Gasoline prices, meanwhile, may decrease by P1.00 to P1.20 per liter.

Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday, to be implemented the following day.

Effective March 15, fuel firms implemented a per liter decrease of P0.10 for diesel and P0.60 for kerosene and a P1.00 per liter hike for gasoline.

The latest price movements brought year-to-date adjustments at a net decrease of P1 per liter for diesel and P1.65 per liter for kerosene.

Gasoline, meanwhile, has a net increase of P6.70 per liter since the start of the year. (GMA Integrated News)
