Fully vaxxed inbound Iloilo travelers may ditch RT-PCR test

ILOILO – Travelers fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may now enter this province without undergoing reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.

The travelers, specifically returning residents and non- residents, need to only present their vaccination cards or vaccination certificates upon entry, based on Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr.’s Executive Order (EO) 320.

In the case of authorized persons outside residence (APORs), no negative RT-PCR test is required but they must be asymptomatic upon entry. They must also present a valid identification card.

Here are the other guidelines based on the EO:

For APORs

* Agencies/offices/establishments/facilities receiving APORs shall coordinate with the city/municipality on their arrival, and report on the administration of health protocols and quarantine measures;

* APORs from the national government agencies and other government offices/corporations, shall be required to present travel order and travel itinerary

* Non-government APORs shall be required to present company/office travel order

For returning residents

* Returning residents shall only be allowed entry if they are asymptomatic;  

* Returning residents shall be examined for symptoms upon arrival, and those found with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) symptoms shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment; provided that, those found without symptoms shall be free to proceed to their destinations and travel within the province;

* Returning residents shall be required valid government ID showing proof of residence; and

* Notice of coordination (NOC) with the city/municipality of destination shall be required.

For non-residents

* Non-residents shall only be allowed entry if they are asymptomatic; and

* Non-residents shall be examined for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival, and those with symptoms shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment until recovered; provided that,  those without symptoms shall be free to proceed to their destinations and travel within the province.

For OFWs

* Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are fully vaccinated shall be required to present COVID-19 vaccination certificate, and/or shall be subject to the current RT-PCR test and quarantine procedures administered by the OWWA upon their arrival;

* They shall be subject to health monitoring by their respective city/municipal health officers and barangay health emergency response teams  for 10 days from arrival; and

* Those who develop symptoms within the 10-day period shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for isolation/quarantine and treatment until recovered.

This province would shift to the new alert level classification (Alert Level 2) beginning today./PN
