MANILA — Newly-appointed Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon is not feeling remorseful over his remarks and profane actions that led to his disbarment by the Supreme Court.

“No, I have no regrets because my President won,” he said in an interview over ANC.

“If I did not counter those acts of Raissa Robles, then people would’ve or might have believed her,” he said.

“Then, my President might not have won,” he further remarked.

“But the thing is, my President won,” Gadon emphasized.

In December 2021, Gadon posted a video of himself verbally assaulting South China Morning Post’s Manila correspondent Raissa Robles.

Robles had posted on Twitter the tax issue surrounding then-presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“President Bongbong Marcos won overwhelmingly for the first time with a majority vote among the electorates,” Gadon recalled.

“I have no regrets,” he repeated.

“What’s more important to me now is that President Bongbong Marcos won,” he maintained.

The anti-poverty czar also revealed he was advised by the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos to “tone down” his language and demeanor.

“I followed their advice. I have been very, very, very silent on treating the opposition on our end,” he said.

“I can say that I have obeyed the President and the First lady,” he concluded.

Supreme Court on Wednesday unanimously disbarred Gadon for misogynistic, sexist, abusive, and repeated intemperate language.

It ruled that Gadon’s actions were “indisputably scandalous that it discredits the legal profession.” (Charie Abarca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
