Gas station loses P1.6M to robbers

ILOILO – Jetti gasoline station in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district was burglarized before dawn on Tuesday. It lost P1.6 million to robbers.

The station’s personnel tasked to open it in the morning discovered the robbery around 4:30 a.m.

The main door was already open and the cashier’s booth bore signs it was forcibly opened, too, according to Police Captain Eduardo Siacon, Jaro police chief.

Responding policemen reviewed the gas station’s security camera footages. There were three burglars. They first targeted the cashier’s booth then the main office.

 “Nakita ta may forcibly entry. Didto nag-agi sa likod sa ventilation and then nagkamang sa kisame and then ginwasak ang kisame sa sulod sang office,” said Siacon.

After getting the money, the robbers went out and proceeded to a waiting tricycle                                             

The robbers were wearing jackets and facemasks, police said./PN
