MANILA – After two weeks of rollbacks, motorists will once again be greeted by heftier pump prices of petroleum products starting today, Tuesday.
In an advisory, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said it will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.90, diesel by P0.80, and kerosene by P0.75.
Eastern Petroleum Corp., Petro Gazz, PTT Petroleum Philippines Inc., and TOTAL (Philippines) Inc. will implement similar changes, excluding kerosene.
The changes will take effect 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21. Other firms have yet to announce adjustments for the week.
According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), prices of gasoline in the country range from P50.30 to P57.21 per liter, kerosene from P45.29 to P55.50 per liter, and diesel from P41.05 to P48.45 per liter as of May 14, 2019.
Prior to the two weeks of rollbacks, prices of gasoline were hiked for four consecutive weeks. (GMA News)
