MANILA – Motorists will be greeted by higher pump prices of petroleum products this week, with another price hike set today, Tuesday.
In an advisory, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said it will hike gasoline prices by P0.80, diesel by P0.70, and kerosene by P0.40.
“This is not yet due to the TRAIN Law but only to reflect the movements in the world market,” the company said in its advisory.
Petro Gazz and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement similar changes, excluding kerosene.
The changes will take effect 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Other firms have yet to announce adjustments for the week.
According to the latest available data from the Department of Energy (DOE), gasoline prices in the country currently range from P39.25 to P53.60 per liter, diesel from P33.45 to P40.98 per liter, and kerosene from P38.42 to P48.50 per liter. (GMA News)
