FUEL prices will have mixed movements today, with gasoline prices having a rollback for the fourth straight week, and diesel and kerosene having price hikes after four consecutive weeks of decreases.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Philippines Corp. said they will lower prices per liter of gasoline by P0.10, while hiking those of diesel by P0.25, and kerosene by P0.30.

Cleanfuel will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) last week projected a rollback in gasoline prices and an increase in diesel and kerosene, citing the movement in global prices.

Firms last Tuesday, May 14, rolled back prices per liter of gasoline by P2, diesel by P0.50, and kerosene by P0.85. (GMA Integrated News)
