Gasoline station robbed

ILOILO – Two motorcycle-riding men robbed a gasoline station in Barangay Sinogbuhan, San Joaquin town,

The robbery was carried out around 1:35 a.m. on Aug. 3.

No one was inside the gasoline station except for the gasoline station owner’s son who sleeping in a room near the cashier’s booth.

According to Police Lieutenant Dionisio Estacio, San Joaquin police chief, the gasoline station’s security camera had a recording of what happened. The robbers took the cash register machine containing P212,500 cash.

The cash register was subsequently recovered about a hundred meters away from the gasoline station. It was already empty.

The robbers were wearing facemasks and hats. They forcibly opened the cashier’s booth where the cash register was.

The San Joaquin police station launched an investigation.

No suspects have so far been named as this was being written./PN
