Gel clogs enamel holes

TWO SWISS dentists have developed a gel that clogs small holes in the enamel coating of teeth.

It is marketed by vVardis, a company owned by sisters Golnar and Haleh Aviardi, both dentists.

They say the gel provides protection by coating the enamel after years of damage.

vVardis claims that 65,000 dental treatments conducted across Europe have found that the gel effectively covers primary and small holes in the enamel.

In the United States, 10,000 similar treatments have been performed resulting in an 88 percent success rate, The Jerusalem Post reports.

“At first glance, this product supersedes the traditional treatment of injection, drilling and filling. However, the safest way to diagnose cavities is still to be checked by a dentist,” the newspaper reported.

The gel is based on a technology that completely restores the tooth. Daily application helps to create a completely renewed protective layer and coats the enamel after years of damage.

After a week, patients feel that the tooth is regenerating.

Regular use will cause the tooth coating to whiten considerably, as the substance removes the acids we’ve absorbed from drinking, eating and smoking.

“This is a global revolution that infuses the small spaces in the tooth with essential substances such as calcium and phosphate, an excellent and fast home care model that will significantly reduce the need for dental care in doctors’ clinics,” vVardis says.

The company says it is driven to innovate by its “belief in achieving a drill-free life for future generations.”

According to vVardis, its technologies include biomimetic compounds. These are compounds that mimic natural chemical processes. In this case, they mimic natural enamel to protect and strengthen. Natural minerals remineralize the enamel and whiten the teeth.

vVARDIS says its technologies adhere to the surface of teeth. Its “special formulation boosted with our technologies strengthens the enamel and helps remineralize early tooth decay… The technologies remain on your teeth and whiten them.”

In Israel, the Sky Global Ventures fund, managed by Yaniv Lambaz, is registered for the import of the vVardis patent. “The various products developed at vVARDIS by the Aviardi sisters are certified kosher and are suitable for the general Israeli public,” Mr. Lambaz said.

“The products are based on a unique formula with a global patent and are made from a quality, clean and vegan materials,” he said, adding the vVardis allows recycling and reuse of raw materials.
