BACOLOD City — Former Himamaylan City councilor Jessie Boy Gellecanao revealed his brother’s ordeal in the hands of Councilor Harry Sian.
Jessie Boy alleged that his younger brother, Himamaylan City Planning and Development officer Ronie Gellecanao, was mauled inside Sian’s car and house before he was punched in the city hall on Tuesday.
The conflict between them stemmed when Ronie failed to do the draft of Sian’s project, Jessie Boy said.
He said Ronie was eating at a restaurant in Brgy. Mambagaton when Sian allegedly dragged and mauled him in his car.
Jessie boy said the mauling continued in Sian’s house.
After the incident, Ronie went to the city hall where Sian punched him in the face, said Jessie Boy.
He added his brother passed out and was rushed to the Gov. Valeriano Gatuslao Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to the intensive care unit of Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.
Mayor Agustin Ernesto of Himamaylan City tried to secure a settlement between Ronie and Sian.
However, Jessie Boy said his family rejected it, adding that they will file appropriate charges against Sian.
The incident was only reported to the Himamaylan police on Sept. 19 after Ronie was released from the hospital./PN
