BACOLOD City – Giant transport firm Yanson Group of Bus Companies based here has changed its management team.
Appointment papers released by the Yanson Group of Bus Companies’ board of directors named Roy Yanson as new president and head of operations, succeeding his brother Leo Rey.
Roy will now oversee Vallacar Transit Inc., Mindanao Star Bus Transit Inc., Sugbo Transit Inc., Rural Transit Inc., and Bachelor Express Inc., according to a news release from the Yanson Group of Bus Companies yesterday.
The change in leadership was a result of yesterday’s special board meeting.
Other new appoints were the following: Ma. Lourdes Celin Yanson-Lopez as treasurer and head of the Finance and Management Information System; Emily Yanson as corporate secretary and head of administration; Ricardo Yanson Jr. as vice president for maintenance; and Atty. Jose Jonathan Ealdama as vice president for legal.
Company policies and programs remain the same and transport services will continue to be fully operational, according to the news release.
Leo Rey, on the other hand, could not be reached for comment as of this writing.
