ILOILO City – A 10-year-old girl claimed her uncle raped her in their house in Barangay Obrero, Lapuz district.
Lea (not her real name), together with her mother, reported to the La Paz police station around 10 a.m. yesterday the incident involving her 34-year-old uncle.
According to Lea, she was raped four times, the latest of which was around 8 a.m. yesterday while she was alone in their house.
The suspect was eventually arrested.
“She was threatened, that’s why she was afraid to open up to her family,” said Police Major Val Ladublan, La Paz police chief.
Police investigators are waiting for the result of the victim’s medical examination.
Ladublan said the suspect admitted the incident.
