ILOILO City – A Grade 10 girl claimed two boy classmates and three others raped her on Sept. 16 in Barangay Poblacion, Dueñas, Iloilo.
Her two classmates were minors while the three other boys were not, the student told the Dueñas police station.
The rape took place in the house of one of the suspects at around 1 p.m., according to Dueñas police chief, Police Captain Samuel Vipinosa, citing statements from the girl.
Prior to the rape, the boys and the girl had a drinking binge, said Vipinosa.
“The girl became inebriated and that’s when the rape happened,” said the police official.
One of the five suspects, a minor, surrendered to the police and was turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development.
“A complaint for rape is being prepared against the suspects,” said Vipinosa./PN
