ANTIQUE – A seven-year-old girl drowned in the seawaters of Barangay Maybato North, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24.
Janella Bel-ida was a resident of the barangay.
She was found already unconscious on the beach by residents, according to the San Jose de Buenavista Municipal Police Station.
The police believed that the girl was taking a swim when she was hit by big waves.
First responders brought the girl to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital, where she was declared dead./PN
