BACOLOD City – A seven-year-old girl who had been reported missing was found dead stuffed inside a sack in Barangay 6A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
According to Police Captain Joy Ellaga, she was last seen alive on Sunday afternoon with 37-year-old suspect Mark Besa, who ordered her to buy cigarettes at a nearby store.
Ellaga said the victim was already lifeless when residents discovered her inside a sack placed on a garbage pile in Barangay 6A.
She added the girl did not sustained body injuries based on initial examination.
An autopsy on the victim’s body will also be conducted to determine whether or not she was sexually assaulted.
Police authorities meanwhile conducted a manhunt operation against Besa, who remained at large as of this writing./PN
