ILOILO – A three-year-old girl and her grandparents died in a vehicular accident in Brgy. Buyu-an, Tigbauan town.
The three were Lian Margerette Navarro, her grandfather Ramon, 52, and grandmother Anecita, 56. All were residents of Brgy. Rizal Pala-pala, Iloilo City.
The accident happened Sunday afternoon, said Senior Insp. Janilo Gepana, Tigbauan police chief.
Around 3:30 p.m., the three heading back to Iloilo City from the town of Igbaras when an owner-type jeep hit them in Brgy. Buyu-an.
The owner-type jeep was driven by Chris Dorado, 57, of Guimbal.
Dorado alleged that his vehicle had mechanical trouble and he lost control over it.
He and his two passengers sustained minor injuries.
Dorado was detained at the Tigbauan police station./PN
