ILOILO City – In Barangay Sambag, Jaro district a 28-year-old man complained to the police that his girlfriend’s brother tried to hack him with a bolo.
A complaint from Bryan Marcelino prompted the Jaro police to detain 40-year-old Efren Bolavaran on Jan. 24.
According to Marcelino, he was at the village’s plaza with friends when a drunken Bolavaran tried to attack him around 10:30 p.m.
Marcelino said he was fast enough to dodge the bolo.
The police confiscated Bolavaran’s 21-inch bolo./PN
