GUIMARAS – The body of a 13-year-old girl washed up on a beach in Barangay Navalas, Buenavista town on Wednesday morning.
Jemmylyn Arvias was a resident of Sitio Mansilang, Cadiz Viejo, Negros Occidental.
Buenavista Municipal Police Station (MPS) said the victim went for a swim on New Year’s Day on a beach in Sitio Mansilang, Barangay Cadiz Viejo, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Arvias’ family said she drowned at around 2 p.m. on Jan. 1 drowned.
The family will retrieve the victim’s body in Buenavista, Guimaras, and bring her home to Negros Occidental./PN
