ILOILO City – For the next six months, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) aims to make the province free from robbery incidents.
Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas, IPPO director, gathered all police chiefs on Saturday to map out strategies.
“It is not impossible if we are dedicated to our service,” Salinas said.
Police chiefs agreed to conduct 24-hour checkpoints, strengthen coordination with civilians and local leaders, and mobilize investigators and intelligence personnel to monitor the movements of robbers.
Salinas also reminded his police chiefs to clear at least two drug-affected barangays in their areas by the end of August.
He challenged particularly police chiefs serving in an acting capacity.
“Now is your chance to display your expertise,” Salinas said.
Acting police chiefs who perform well will likely become full-fledged police chiefs, he said./PN
