
GOOGLE PHILIPPINES on Tuesday announced its new country director, Bernadette Nacario.
Nacario previously served as country manager for Systems of IBM Philippines andApple Philippines.
With a Graduate diploma in Management from the Helsinki School of Economics (Executive Education) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Nicario is described by Google as a “veteran of the Information Technology industry.”
Nicario said, “It is an exciting time to join Google! According to the e-Conomy SEA Report 2019, the country’s internet economy is growing by between 20 percent and 30 percent annually, and it will continue to accelerate. We are at the sweet spot of demographic, economic, and digital inflection.”
Stephanie Davis, the managing director for Google Southeast Asia, also added, “Under her leadership, Google will be in a stronger position to forge strategic partnerships and drive inclusive growth for the Philippines. We are fortunate to have her onboard.”
As the new country director, Nicario will be in charge of the company’s day-to-day operations and develop an overall growth strategy for the business.
Google simply started out as a search engine but has now grown into a leading multinational technology company worldwide. (GMA News)
