BACOLOD City – A shooting in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental left a 40-year-old government employee dead.
Riding-in-tandem gunmen shot Maria Elena Peque, a resident of the city’s Barangay 2 around 7:48 a.m. on Oct. 18.
According to investigators, Peque was riding a tricycle when attacked.
The victim was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have yet to ascertain the identity of the gunmen and the motive in the shooting./PN
