ROXAS City – Police arrested a Grade 12 student in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salocon, Panitan, Capiz.
Four sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from 19-year-old Siegfred Tomasa, a police report showed.
Tomasa – resident of Barangay Adlawan, Roxas City – was caught after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P500 on Monday.
Aside from the suspected shabu, a cellphone and a motorcycle were also confiscated.
“The joint antidrug operation of the Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit and Panitan police station led to the arrest of the suspect,” municipal police station chief Lieutenant Reynaldo Lata told Panay News.
Tomasa was detained in the lockup facility of the Panitan police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him./PN
