BACOLOD City – Suspected dried marijuana leaves were recovered from a Grade 9 student of a school in Barangay Punta Taytay.
The 19-year-old Reinze June Tiongco was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation behind the Barangay Sum-ag National High School around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
Tiongco was not the subject of the sting operation, according to officers from Police Station 9.
It was a construction worker who the police did not name. The subject managed to escape.
Tiongco was detained at the Police Station 9 lockup facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2020, will be filed against him./PN
