BACOLOD City – A 66-year-old grandmother was allegedly stabbed to death by her 19-year-old grandson inside their house in Barangay Pahanocoy here around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, February 23.
Police Captain Greecky Cayao, commander of the Bacolod City Police Office’s Police Station 8, said the victim identified as alias “Lara” succumbed to multiple stab wounds.
The suspect meanwhile was mentally challenged.
Prior to the incident, the suspect’s mother had a heated argument with the victim, which probably triggered the former to stab his grandmother, Cayao said.
As of this writing, the suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8 for proper disposition./PN
