BACOLOD City – A 17-year-old lad allegedly hacked his grandmother to death in Barangay Buluangan, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Angelina Escorial, 78, succumbed to multiple hack wounds.
The police said Escorial reprimanded her grandson after the latter struck her dog with a bamboo pole.
It was also believed that the suspect was inebriated, police added.
The minor is currently under the custody of the Women and Children Protection Desk of the San Carlos police./PN
