ILOILO City – The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) in Western Visayas plans to get the youth involved in battling environmental problems.
It will launch on June 22 a program dubbed as “GreenDucation: Empowering the Filipino youth through environmental education and green networking” as part of Philippine Environment Month celebration this June.
Ramar Niel Pascua, officer-in-charge of EMB-Region 6, said GreenDucation is a flagship youth program seeking to promote youth empowerment and partnership.
“This aims to inspire various youth leaders to be empowered and informed on the various environmental programs of EMB,” Pascua said.
The EMB will conduct a seminar-workshop that will gather young leaders in this city during the launch.
The participants will be provided with updates on clean water, clean air, solid waste management, and environmental education. (With report from PIA/PN)
