ILOILO City – A grenade exploded in front of a videoke bar in Barangay Cagamutan Sur, Leganes, Iloilo yesterday. A car was damaged.
The grenade was an MK2 and it was lobbed around 12:30 a.m., police said.
The windshield of William Incarnacion’s Honda Accord parked in front of Florence KTV was damaged.
Incarnacion was unhurt. He was inside the bar during the explosion, according to Senior Inspector Ma. Liza Nufuente, Leganes police chief.
A suspect has been identified – a bar customer who left minutes before the blast. Nufuente, however, declined to give a name so as not to jeopardize an ongoing manhunt.
There was nothing unusual inside the bar prior to the explosion, said Nufuente./PN
