GRETCHEN Barretto on Wednesday night made a surprising appearance at the wake of her late father, Miguel Alvir Barretto, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 82.
On Instagram, her younger sister, Claudine Barretto, posted a clip of Gretchen reuniting with their mother, Estrella “Inday” Barretto, following years of being estranged. The touching reunion was even witnessed by President Rodrigo Duterte, who was there to extend his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.
“And then, we are complete. [Gretchen], I’m so proud of you. I admire and love you more today. #DoubleInfinity #ThatsmyAte,” wrote Claudine. “WELCOME HOME.”
This is the first time in years that Gretchen reunited with her family, from whom she had been estranged since 2013. During that time, the actress engaged in a war against her parents and sister Gia after siding with Claudine’s ex-husband, Raymart Santiago, over her sister’s alleged use of drugs.
Aside from Gretchen, siblings Mito, Joaquin, Michelle and Marjorie were also at Raymond’s side.
She and Claudine have since settled their differences, however. The two siblings reconciled back in February. (Push)
