LOOKS LIKE Gretchen Barretto and Annabelle Rama have patched things up.
In a YouTube vlog of veteran reporter Jun Lalin uploaded on Wednesday, the two were seen exchanging funny banters and hearty laughs at a private dinner following Gretchen’s return from her vacation in San Francisco, California.
Also present at the get-together were Annabelle’s husband, Eddie Gutierrez, and Regal Films producer Mother Lily Monteverde.
“Hindi niya kayang awayin ako. Let’s face it, mahal mo ‘ko,” Gretchen was quoted as saying in the video, to which Annabelle replied, “Oo naman.” The reconciliation came over a month after Annabelle slammed Gretchen for taking a swipe at her daughter, Ruffa, by bringing into question the latter’s best actress win at a film festival in 1994.
Apparently, La Greta was annoyed at Ruffa’s compliment on a photo of Julia, her niece, during the time the Barretto family feud became the subject of controversy in the internet.
In a November interview, Annabelle said she wouldn’t try to escalate things, and would only air “dirt” if Gretchen decides to attack her family again.
“Huwag na tayo mag away-away pa,” she said when asked to give Gretchen advice. “Peace, of course, importante ang peace.” (Push)
