The said building was equipped with armed chairs, furniture and smart televisions, among others.

“When our pupils return to their school, we made sure that each classroom is ready to welcome them,” said Espanta, who also manages the PPC.

Espanta also shared that GTFI founder George S.K. Ty believes that “education is the sole blood of development in the country especially in Iloilo City,” that is why a learning structure was their chosen project.

This was the first collaboration of GTFI and PEDC, and the officials are hopeful for more partnerships in other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Arman Manadero, principal of N.J. Ingore Elementary School, has expressed his gratitude for being the project’s beneficiary.

“Actually very grateful kita for GTFI-PEDC for having these two classrooms despite of the situation right now nga wala kita sang face-to-face (classes). But hopefully soon we can go back to normal and magamit na naton ini nga classroom,” said Manadero.

He added that through this project, “pupils won’t overcrowd classrooms anymore.”

The principal noted that 829 pupils are currently enrolled in the school./PN
