BUENAVISTA, Guimaras – Barangay Sto. Rosario is on lockdown.
It started on June 4 and will end on June 18.
Mayor Eugenio Reyes said the barangay recorded 20 active coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases yesterday.
“This development requires more strict and barangay-wide guidelines,” he stressed.
Here are the localized containment measures Reyes ordered:
* Strict stay-at-home restrictions – Residents are advised to refrain from unnecessary travel while the surgical lockdown is in force. Exemptions: persons who need immediate hospital care and management.
* Contact tracing and surveillance – The Municipal Health Office, together with the COVID-19 Task Force, shall conduct a continuing contact tracing and surveillance for COVID-19 positive cases.
* Maintenance of peace and order – The municipal COVID-19 Task Force, Philippine National Police and barangay officials shall enforce the restrictions.
* Distribution of goods – The municipal government shall provide the food and medical needs of affected residents for the duration of the lockdown.
* Limited access to authorized personnel – During the duration of the lockdown, only the following personnel shall be allowed entrance and exit into the affected area: Municipal COVID-19 Task Force members, authorized municipal officials and personnel, Municipal Health Office personnel, Department of Health pPersonnel, members of the Philippine National Police- Buenavista, members of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Buenavista, and personnel assigned in the provision and distribution of goods
* Disinfection – The Bureau of Fire Protection- Guimaras shall lead the disinfection procedure in the critical, containment and buffer zones./PN
