GUIMARAS – As of March 31, the health care utilization rate (HCUR) of the province of Guimaras has dropped to 37.93 percent.
When speaking HCUR, it refers to the utilization rate of beds dedicated to COVID-19 composed of Isolation/COVID Ward Beds, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, and Mechanical Ventilator.
According to data from the Department of Health (DOH) in Region 6 out of 58 beds dedicated to COVID-19 in Guimaras, 22 beds only are occupied, or 37.93 percent or low risk.
In addition, the province’s two-week growth rate of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases have also dropped.
From March 1, 2022, to March 14, 2022, 44 cases were registered by the province, but from March 15, 2022, to March 28, 2022, only eight cases or 36 case differences or a negative 82 percent change were listed.
The average daily attack rate per 100,000 population is now only 0.30 percent which is why the risk classification of Guimaras remains at minimal or Alert Level 1.
From April 1 to April 15, Guimaras remains at Alert Level 1.
As of April 1, Guimaras listed 3,796 total confirmed cases of which only three cases are active.
The province’s three remaining active cases come from Buenavista – two and San Lorenzo – one.
Of the total recorded cases in the province, 94.77 percent or 3,572 have recovered while 5.15 percent or 194 have died./PN
