Guimaras receives more than 350K vaccines from DOH

A new policy takes effect next month in the provincial government of Guimaras – job hires must have themselves vaccinated against coronavirus disease or their contracts won’t be renewed. Those applying for job hire positions must also be vaccinated.

GUIMARAS – As of March 25, the province of Guimaras has received 350,484 doses of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID -19) from the Department of Health (DOH).

Here is a breakdown of the 350,484 doses of vaccines received by Guimaras.

* Sinovac -112,074

* Astrazeneca -73,084

* Pfizer – 109,666

* Jannsen – 15,000

Based on DOH-6 data out of 350,484 doses of vaccines Guimaras received, only 234,484 doses or 66.90 percent have been utilized.

Here is a breakdown of the 234,484 doses of vaccines utilized.

* First Dose – 104,279

* Second Dose – 100,327

* Janssen Dose -15,361

* Booster Dose- 14,517

When it comes to vaccine coverage, out of 105,597 individuals of the province’s target population in the age group 18 to 59 years old, those who received at least the first dose reached 88,722, fully vaccinated – 81,393 and received booster shots are 11,802.

While 60 years old and above, out of 20,507 target population of the province, those who received at least the first dose reached 15,076, fully vaccinated – 14,763 and booster shot – 2,715.

For the 12 to 17-year-old pediatric population, out of the 20,695 target population, those who received at least the first dose have reached 19,372 and fully vaccinated – 17,835

Talking about the 11-year-old pediatric population, out of the 24,354 target population, those who received at least the first dose is 3,688 and fully vaccinated – 1,697. /PN
