AKLAN – An employee of the local government unit of Madalag faces charges for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
Ronny Ningal alias “Lato,” 59, was a resident of Barangay Alaminos, Madalag, Aklan.
Authorities recovered an M16 rifle and magazine with 29 live rounds and empty .45 shells during the implementation of a search warrant around 5 a.m. yesterday, June 14.
Police Major Edgar T. Tonico Jr. of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Aklan Provincial Field Unit said they conducted a series of validations and surveillance after receiving reports of Ningal allegedly brandishing and discharging loose firearms.
