ILOILO City – Jover Paredes was accused of violating the Commission on Elections (Comelec) firearms ban, a police report showed.
Officers arrested him in Barangay Nanga, Pototan, Iloilo on Thursday.
The 33-year-old resident of Barangay Cato-ogan, Pototan was taken to the municipal police station at around 10 a.m.
Paredes was accused of carrying an unlicensed firearm during a Comelec prohibition period – a violation of the commission’s Resolution 10015.
The court set the bail bond for Paredes’ temporary liberty at P12,000./PN
