ILOILO – Police recovered an unregistered gun with ammunition in Sitio Bat-os, Barangay Dangulaan, Anilao town.
They however failed to arrest gun owner Allan Antopina, a police report showed.
Joint elements of the Anilao municipal police station and 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company went to Antopina’s house to serve a search warrant around 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 18.
Recovered there was a 12-gauge handgun with four live bullets, police said.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, was filed against Antopina./PN
