Guns, ammos land Pontevedra man in jail

BACOLOD City – After finding firearms and ammunition in his house, police arrested a man in Purok Maravilla, Barangay 3, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

He was the 34-year-old Jeremy “Koling” Tragano, a police report showed.

Wielding a search warrant, officers from the municipal police station went to Tragano’s house around 10:30 p.m. on Friday.

There, police found two improvised 12-gauge shotguns and a .38-caliber gun loaded with five live bullets.

Judge Bienvenido Llanes Jr. of the Municipal Trial Court in Pontevedra issued the search warrant on May 3.

Tragano was detained at the Pontevedra police station lockup facility. He was facing charges for violating the election gun ban and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
