NEGROS Occidental – Multiple unlicensed firearms and ammunition were recovered in a raid executed by the Kabankalan City Component Police Station (KCCPS) in the city’s Barangay Tampalon here over the weekend.
Through the strength of a search warrant, police also arrested alias “Ed”, 50, a resident of Sitio Igang of the said village at 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, February 22.
Among the recoveries were .9mm revolver loaded with four live rounds of ammunition, caliber .45 pistol with an inserted magazine loaded with seven live rounds of ammunition, and an additional magazine for caliber .45 caliber pistol loaded with seven live rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was detained at KCCPS, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
