BACOLOD City – Several firearms were turned over to the police station of Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
According to Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, municipal police chief, the guns were turned over by barangay councilman Arcenio Templado and village watchmen around 10 a.m. on May 11.
The firearms were a homemade 12-gauge shotgun and ammunitions and another shotgun that resembled like a .38 caliber firearm with five bullets.
Templado and his tanods did not disclose how they were able secure the firearms, according to Batusbatusan./PN
