MEET the Falchuks! Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk have officially tied the knot.
The couple said “I do” on Saturday evening, according to multiple reports. Stars like Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, and Robert Downey Jr. were in attendance.
“They have been planning this wedding all year,” a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight, adding that the actress has “worked incredibly hard to keep their wedding a secret.”
“Gwyneth pays attention to every details so we are all set for a fairytale wedding,” the source declared.
The “Iron Man” star, 46, first met the TV producer, 47, in 2010 when she guest-starred on “Glee,” which he co-created with Ryan Murphy. Both Paltrow and Falchuk were married at the time, but their friendship turned romantic when they both found themselves single in 2014. The actress and Chris Martin announced their “conscious uncoupling” that spring.
Falchuk and Paltrow confirmed their engagement in January, which they reportedly kept secret for more than a year. “We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship,” the couple said in a statement.
Paltrow shares two children, Apple and Moses, with ex-husband Martin. Falchuk also has two kids, Brody and Isabella, with ex-wife Suzanne.
Paltrow talked about her decision to marry again in Goop‘s Sex & Love issue released in January.
“Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be,” she explained in the magazine. “I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.”
She added, “For the first time, I feel like I’m in an adult relationship that is sometimes very uncomfortable – because he sort of demands a certain level of intimacy and communication that I haven’t been held to before. What came up in the first couple of years of our relationship was how incapable I was in this realm – how I feared intimacy and communication.”
In April, there was speculation that Paltrow and Falchuk’s wedding was imminent following a report that Murphy was throwing the couple a black-tie engagement party. According to Page Six, around 400 people were expected in attendance with the dress code, putting some guests on high-alert there might be more to celebrate.
The “Sliding Doors” star celebrated her bachelorette party in Los Cabos, Mexico, the same month. Besties Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney were among the women toasting Paltrow.
Paltrow revealed before the wedding that she considered it to be her first, since she and Martin eloped in 2003. “I’m excited about everything!” she told People in January. “I’ve never had a wedding before. So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old.”
Falchuk, for his part, summed up his feelings about having Paltrow in his life in a heartfelt message on her birthday. “You keep getting better every year,” he wrote in part.
