ILOILO City – His cousin hacked a 28-year-old resident of Barangay Poong, Lambunao, Iloilo, a police report showed.
Ivan Aligor sustained a hack wound on the head. He was confined in the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Police identified the suspect as the 35-year-old Jorry Aligor of the same barangay.
Ivan was buying liquor from a store at 9 p.m. on May 30 when he challenged Jorry to a fight. Jorry was just sitting at the store at the time, the police report stated.
Jorry ignored Ivan but the latter kept goading him. Eventually Jorry got pissed and attacked Ivan, police said, citing investigation.
Jorry fled after the incident but surrendered to the police several hours later and admitted to hacking his cousin./PN
